I thought I'd share some pages from my journal today. They don't make a lot of sense, but I think journals that do make a lot of sense are like the end products of paint-by-numbers sets; very pleasing on a shelf, but lacking in scope/passion/ART. I try to write at strange hours, when my mind can forget to care about conventions and judgements and the like. So yeah. Normally I would end this paragraph with some kind of apology but I'm trying not to do that so much.
P.S. I'm going to start ending my posts with a song or two that I'm currently f~e~e~l~i~n~g.
So, current mood:
i have no idea what to say except i love this post so much. EEP. i get what you're saying about the beauty of writing out your thoughts at night because there's so much less pressure to structure (which usually either oversimplifies or overcomplicates them- when all that's important is the things that you felt in that moment so strongly). The layout of this writing is amazing because it seems so PURE, i'm obsessed with the way it jumps from song lyrics to quotes to observations. it's kind of stripped down to as minimal as possible but it SAYS SO MUCH! I feel odd saying all this but your writing is insanely beautiful. i really hope that writing makes you happy and that you keep doing it- because i can't wait to read more. *There are more types of happy than types of armchair, but you wouldn't know it*- absolutely amazing.

DeleteI love journals! I mostly keep more visual journals because when I try to use words they don't say what I want them to say. Words are often so restricting and I always get lost in the meaning of them than the meaning I want to give them... But I'll go try to write at strange hours, who knows, maybe it'll work ;)
